Tēnā koutou, greetings to all.

As the year draws to a close it is natural to reflect on our lives and achievements, and in 2023 the biggest achievement in my world was joining our local Community Foundation as kaiwhakahaere (lead worker). It's been an immense privilege, and the highlights will always be the many ways I get to interact with our donors, supporters, community and our wonderful volunteer Board. I've had some incredible experiences meeting donors, visiting community organisations and even a wee boat trip to expand our networks - thank you one and all . A key strength of Community Foundations is the national as well as local networks we have including being supported by our CFANZ national office with our planning for next year - I am looking forward trialling the inspiring ideas that were suggested, We'll highlight a couple of our local relationships in this newsletter to give you an idea of the impacts of your generosity and the people who contribute towards our kaupapa.

I wish you all a wonderful summer and I hope you enjoy the fantastic variety of opportunities our region offers. We'd love to see you at two events where TSCF will be present - the Golden Bay A&P show and the Zest for Life Baton Bikers' Banquet- two amazing events not to be missed! (more details below).

Ko te pae tata, whakamaua kia tina - Seek out distant horizons and cherish those you attain. We certainly cherish the time, energy and resource you all put into making our Community Foundation a success across the whole region and we look forward to sharing our distant horizons as our strategic plan takes shape.
