Dave Ashcroft

Chairman
Dave is , a first generation New Zealander, a happily married father of three, who works as an independent business consultant. He has significant experience in the not-for-profit and governance fields.  Dave is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee for Ngāti Koata and Board Member and Treasurer of Age Concern Nelson Tasman.

Anissa Bain

Trustee
Anissa is a partner at Pitt & Moore ,and has a client base that reflects the region’s diversity. She is passionate about solving her clients’ problems. She uses her detailed understanding of the law and her understanding of clients’ situations to get them where they want to be, using the most stress-free, efficient path possible.

Nick Moore

Trustee
Nick is a legal Consultant at Knapps Lawyers having previously been a long-term partner of law firm Fletcher Vautier Moore. His focus includes residential and rural property, financing, family trusts and succession planning. A fourth generation solicitor, Nick’s family have been practicing law in Nelson for over 130 years.

Ailie Suzuki

Trustee
Ailie has extensive experience working in the environmental and conservation sector, in addition to tourism and business management both in Aotearoa and abroad. Her first hand experience and knowledge of local grassroots efforts gives a valuable perspective of organisations and areas requiring support throughout the Top of the South.

Ailie is currently a long-term resident of Waitohi Picton, Marlborough and is the General Manager of a local environmental non-profit organisation - Envirohub Marlborough.

Bill Agnew

Trustee
Bill has 30+ years corporate experience in oil and gas’ across retail marketing, logistics, finance and project management both in New Zealand and overseas. Bill had overseas postings in some of the richest and poorest countries of the world, this gave him a first-hand appreciation of some of the inequalities throughout the world and an appreciation for the need for philanthropy. Bill is currently a Business Mentor with the Nelson Tasman Business Trust.

Roy Dawson

Trustee
Roy has extensive experience in the local seafood industry at a senior management level, specifically in the business development and operations executive areas.

He is well networked around the local region, and is a well-respected leader with a positive management style, combining strong relationship building and management skills.

Nettie Stow

Executive Officer
Nettie is originally from Northumberland, UK and raised her now adult children in Te Tauihu, having moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2003. Most of her working life has been within charitable trusts where she has gained extensive knowledge of philanthropy and effective grant making. She has a passion for supporting individuals and organisations to create effective, positive and sustainable impact. Nettie joined the team in 2023 and is excited to be part of such a generous and inspiring community.

Kim McGettigan

Administration Officer
Kim is a born and bred Nelsonian, and has worked in a variety of roles in the region and has over 20 years’ experience in business administration and finance. She joined the Top of the South Community Foundation team in September 2020, and is loving every minute of working for an organisation doing positive work in her community. Kim is excited about helping to grow the foundation, and creating positive impact across the region.
