Dave Ashcroft

Dave is an independent business consultant with significant experience in the not-for-profit and governance fields.  Dave is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee for Nelson Marlborough Health (NMDHB), Board Member and Treasurer of Age Concern Nelson Tasman, and a member of the Board of Trustees at Enner Glynn School and at Garin College.

Tim Saunders

Deputy Chairman
Tim is General Manager of Headwaters, a sheep genetics and supply chain business. Having worked for ANZ for over 10 years, Tim has a strong background in Agriculture and Horticulture Finance. Most recently, Tim worked for the award winning Māori food and beverage company Kono NZ LP as their Commercialisation Manager.

Anissa Bain

Anissa is a partner at Pitt & Moore ,and has a client base that reflects the region’s diversity. She is passionate about solving her clients’ problems. She uses her detailed understanding of the law and her understanding of clients’ situations to get them where they want to be, using the most stress-free, efficient path possible.

Nick Moore

Nick is a legal Consultant at Knapps Lawyers having previously been a long-term partner of law firm Fletcher Vautier Moore. His focus includes residential and rural property, financing, family trusts and succession planning. A fourth generation solicitor, Nick’s family have been practicing law in Nelson for over 130 years.

Bill Agnew

Bill has 30+ years corporate experience in oil and gas’ across retail marketing, logistics, finance and project management both in New Zealand and overseas. Bill had overseas postings in some of the richest and poorest countries of the world, this gave him a first-hand appreciation of some of the inequalities throughout the world and an appreciation for the need for philanthropy. Bill is currently a Business Mentor with the Nelson Tasman Business Trust.

Roy Dawson

Roy has extensive experience in the local seafood industry at a senior management level, specifically in the business development and operations executive areas.

He is well networked around the local region, and is a well-respected leader with a positive management style, combining strong relationship building and management skills.

Gavin Larsen

Executive Officer
Gavin joined the Top of the South Community Foundation team in August 2020. Gavin is a resident of Te Tauihu / the Top of the South, and a former New Zealand cricketer. He has previously held roles as Head of Sponsorship for both The National Bank and ANZ, as CEO of Cricket Wellington, and as Cricket Operations Manager for Cricket World Cup 2015. Gavin is currently a selector for New Zealand Cricket, and his role as Foundation EO role provides an excellent fit alongside his part-time cricket job.

Kim McGettigan

Administration Officer
Kim is a born and bred Nelsonian, and has worked in a variety of roles in the region and has over 20 years’ experience in business administration and finance. She joined the Top of the South Community Foundation team in September 2020, and is loving every minute of working for an organisation doing positive work in her community. Kim is excited about helping to grow the foundation, and creating positive impact across the region.
