Nelson Cadets Celebrate Generous Donation
13 December, 2024

The Nelson Cadets are finishing the year on a high following an incredibly generous donation. The 'John and Irina Wares Nelson Navy, Army and Air Force Cadet Units Endowment Fund' was established in November and will benefit the youth of our region for many, many years to come.

"We wish to support general youth development as this is important to us", said John. "We want to help ease the financial burden so all cadets have equal opportunity to progress themselves and to participate in all events."

Brian Ramsay, the Nelson Returned and Services Association Liaison for the Nelson based Cadet units, was delighted when he received news of the funding "this funding will make an incredible difference to what our Cadet Units can offer our young people each year” said Brian.

John and Irina share their donation stories to inspire others to contribute to the community causes they love.

Please contact us at TSCF if you would like to know more about this or similar funds and how you can support them.
